Last evening I discovered something.
If you're a geezer, and not a relative of the young kids involved, then you become invisible to them.

Following a terrific turkey & dressing pig-out at our friends' I stepped out back for a smoke.
The kids' table was set up on the screened porch.
A boy, 10, and 2 girls, 9 and 7.

9 year old: "What's THAT?"
Boy: "Asparagus. It tastes really yucky when it gets cold."
9 y.o."Eeeewwwwww"

As they finished dessert (3 kinds), the boy stood up and screamed "SUGAR RUSH! RUN IT OFF!!"
All three of them went piling out into the back yard, running around and screaming "SUGAR RUSH! RUN IT OFF!"

When they stopped to catch their breath, the 9 y.o. said to the 7 y.o. "Where did you throw up?"
"Right here."
"Eeeewwww. It looks like a dead frog."

4. Kinda weird too. Then she threw up a little at the same spot.

Can a 7 year old be anorexic?
I mentioned it to her grandmother.
Didn't make a big deal about it, just relating what I posted above because it was funny.
She just said "She threw up?"
Didn't pursue it that I know of.
Wasn't projectile vomiting or anything like that.
Just a short "urp".
Coulda been all the rich food.
