6. I saw Freddie
in 1974. Queen was the opening act and I had only heard a few of their songs before seeing them perform a very good show. RIP Freddie.

What a beautiful man. I remember commiserating with fellow Cleveland Free-Neters at the time. Damn. Fifteen years.

His legacy lives on, that's for sure

Here's my favorite Queen song ever:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRMkdO9J-N0&mode=related&search=

She keeps her Moet et Chandon in a pretty cabinet...

It's like an ode to beautiful gay men the world over.

24. If I had to guess
maybe it's talk radio?

Because I don't understand that whole concept...talking on the radio. Because I can hear talking anywhere...I can listen to myself talk. But on the radio, I want to hear music. But that's just me.

27. Corporate radio
Though in the song, Queen not only mourn good radio, but good music and a culture that celebrated both.

29. That's exactly right.
My remark above, about it being a mystery, was tongue-in-cheek.

I love Queen! Just sent this vid to my daughter to watch.

He turned into a gay man after that concert.

21. He was one Killer Queen!
A definite highlight of my life:

His ac-capella version of "Love of My Life", sung
from the girders of the arena (Joe Louis?) in Detroit where
I saw him and Queen.

I can't remember who opened for them, but I'll never
forget THAT number.

WHAT a show!

28. I didn't know that until yesterday
I also didn't know of his Indian heritage, and I didn't know he was bi. I always thought he was gay.

Like any of that matters. Gods are from everywhere and surpass gender.

Kinda like finding out that Jamie Farr's real name is Jameel Farah. He's still Klinger.

30. I just finished watching the Legends VH1 show featuring Queen
You can find it on YouTube. That's when I found out what his heritage was, AND that he was bi. I also thought he was gay. Doesn't matter though. I love Freddie and I love Queen. You should check the Legends show out. Pretty interesting.

32. I still shed a tear for that loss from time to time
He was someone that comes along once in a lifetime, and I regret never seeing them in concert, not that I ever had an opportunity to, and mourn the loss to humanity. Bless you Freddie.
