Burned Fingers....the mark of a true cook...
hehe...work through the pain :P

or conversely, the mark of a klutz... :D

:hi:

Btw, it was on the baking pan, which was holding the roasting onions, carrots, and celery, for my turkey stock. :bounce:

1. I almost always burn or cut myself when cooking or baking.
I still have a mark on my arm in the exact shape of the lip of my cookie sheet, from about two years ago.

This time, it was boiling sugar that did it to me. And I burned myself on my toaster oven the very first time I used it. :eyes:

2. I'm with you....4 burns since noon yesterday...
Two on the pads of my fingers, one right below a knuckle, and one on my inner forearm (roasting pan handle while checking stuffing temp :D)

3. Me too.
I have no idea why, but it never occurs to me to use a device, say a spatula, to turn items while I sautee them.

I scare family members that way, which is sort of worth the trouble. Heh.

he smiled, as he felt great empathy for a fellow cook, he bought a new knife (very sharp) and didn't even slide it, but tapped the blade against the knuckle of his left thumb and made a bloody little ow-ie x(

he has your every care at heart as well

Congrats on your very successful-looking T-day feast! I saw the pix and was impressed. Well done! :yourock:

Now you get to enjoy the left-overs, if there were any. That's what we're doing. My hubby made the most incredible-smelling turkey soup stock. The whole house smells amazing. Can't wait for the actual soup! Yummy!! :9

grabbed a paper towel to sop up the blood, slapped on a bandaid and finished peeling.
