:harumph:

I'm also sick, so I'm in a pissy mood, and I want to eat a big, filling, comforting meal but I don't have the energy to cook one so I'm eating crackers.

I think I should have the right to have warm feet no matter what I'm wearing.

:grr:

3. it is hereby decreed, you do not have to wear slippers...
your out-of-sort-ness is another matter that will to itself pass in the fullness of time...perhaps an OD of niacin

6. I love slippers - I have a very nice pair, in fact.
I'm just in a pissy mood and don't feel that I should have to wear them for my feet to be warm. My feet should be warm anyway, and I hsould be able to wear slippers solely cuz they're comfy.

8. Do I have to treat you like my six year old?
Put on a pair of socks and the stupid slippers! Call for some takeout-something starchy, heavy and hot.

(My daughter was sick last week and we constantly fought about the wearing of slippers.)

11. Humm, I see your point
I used to feel that way about money. :D

You could compromise and get a really cool pair of slippers that you love to wear.

14. I have some slipper socks, the old fashion kind.
Slippers on the bottom, socks on the top.

Wear them inside and out and they keep your feet warm.

16. What you are really saying - even if you don't realize it - is that you need
someone to take care of you. Someone to fetch you socks warm from the dryer, cook you comforting foods like chicken and dumplings and potatoes and macaroni & cheese, serve you hot tea with honey, and wrap a warm throw around you while handing you the remote so you can find something to watch on TV.

Someone to listen to you sniff and snivel and complain about your aches and your fever, someone to run up to the store and get Advil, Vicks Vapo-Rub and Nyquil.

Yep. That's what you need.

(Hope you feel better soon.)
