Zebra finbches were great. Had 4, they bred, ended up with 40, had to put a stop to it because I ran out of room...

I loved the sound of 40 chirping 'mini tin trumpets', but that's a lot of finch to feed.

(I did buy up to 16 parakeets in a course of a few months; this was back in 1999. They were all so beautiful... had no clue 16 of them would be so damn loud...)

All went to good homes.

In seriousness, they are pretty birds. And expensive. I prefer the companion critters.

My previous monitor had the Gouldian finch as its mascot or logo or whatever it was... I recall they're a good company, but the name eludes me right now.
