Best Band ever from Rockford Illinois?

1. That's the band that gets my vote for best band from Rockford!

I remember Rockford had a fantastic rock station in the late 70s/early 80s that played the really good, harder music, and played the less popular stuff by the ppular bands: I remember hearing Cheap Trick's "Gonna Raise Hell" and Pat Travers' "Snortin' Whisky and Drinking Cocaine" being played together a lot.

Also they played The Scorpion's "The Zoo", and did the King Biscuit Flower Hour. I recorded some concerts from taht station on 8-track: Rush, Zeppelin, and I can't remember what else.

Great fuckin' station, but it didn't seem to last very long and soon was gone.

2. I drove to the Rockford Speedway back then

and saw Heart, Judas Priest, Scorpions and the Joe Perry Project...
