What was the best crap you bought this weekend?
Edited on Sat Nov-25-06 09:33 PM by YellowRubberDuckie
We found 800 thread count sheet separates for 20 bucks. And then we also found a Down Alternate feather bed for 30. My bed is heaven now. What did you get?!

1. Bath and Body Works...
Went to the Paramus Mall in dirrrty jerz and I got a splendid Magnolia Bloosom perfume for only 18 :)

I haven't bought anything nice for me since summer, so this was a nice treat :)

We also bought scooters for the kids ($18 each) at Target.

3. Well, I got two portable DVD players - $69 each...
and last weekend, I got the Nintendo Wii and all the accessories we wanted for retail price.

Had to wait in line before the store opened for an hour for the DVD players. Had to wait in line for the Wii for....I'm embarrassed to say how long. Glad I did, though, because the Wii has ended up being more in demand than the PS3.

Did you shop at Belk? I wish I would have made it by there.

5. Maybe it was the Target circular where I saw the sheets.
They had the down alt bed at Belk here. I bet I saw the sheets in the Target ad.

800 thread count. Niiiice.

10. Good for him.
They're selling for three times retail on Ebay right now.

If the fuckers wouldn't buy them to resale, then gamers could buy them for retail. Most of the people standing in line to buy game consoles are Ebay sellers.

:grr:

I'm not a huge gamer, but I'm really looking forward to playing with the Wii on Christmas morning.

Did your guy get Zelda? That's the game I like. Got Trauma Center, too, so that we can do surgery. :D

Good for him? Hell, good for ME-- I'm just as big as a dork as he is :D He's getting me FFXII.

I really wish there was a way to just sell the Wii to ONLY people who are actually going to play it :(

7. Totally cute pair of sneakers
olive drab canvas, lightly quilted, only $12 at the Easy Spirit outlet store. My sister's gonna love 'em! And that's the only thing I bought this weekend, except for cat/dog food and a tank of gas.

8. A corset with straps for my thigh-highs and matching thong
I have a hard time finding such things to fit or in colors that flatter me. Finding something that met both criteria at a good price made my night.

Oh, and I got some more of the old-fashioned hose with the seam up the back, because I think they're the sexiest thing ever.

Pics and homemade cookies. It's tradition, but this year he's getting a shirt too, just because I found one he'll love and it's from an organization he supports so he can't complain about me spending money on him (since he always tells me not to.)

12. I got the last two SD Memory cards for
Edited on Sat Nov-25-06 09:57 PM by Kajsa
our digital cameras ( 512 mb) for $14.00 each.
The regular price was $49.00 a piece.

Then my SO and I headed to the Long Beach Convention Center where
National Geographic held its warehouse sale. The last one they had there was ten years ago.

I bought books, a new atlas, calenders, books and more books.
Some of them were $2.00! We went nuts and had seven large bags
between the two of us when we were finished.

Everyone on my list is getting a great book!

We are extremely nice to people. We've even bitched out people who were rude to the people like yourself. It's unnecessary and people need to get the fuck over themselves.

22. I run a resort, so I took advantage of the sales at Brandsmart
and got a bunch of toasters for four bucks each and a bunch of those coffee maker stations that dispense the coffee right to the cup (we are constantly battling with broken glass pots, so we're going to try these for a change) for ten bucks each. Sweet deals, but I did have to walk half a mile to the store from parking blocks away, and stood in the checkout line for an hour and a half. Besides that, I had to drive to Miami from the Keys for the bargains. But the resort bought my gas and a nice semi expensive lunch, and I love to shop, so it wasn't too bad. But my husband would rather eat ground glass than go up to the mainland, let alone shopping on black Friday! :)

a 400-ct. sheet set for $39.

Favorite purchase: Ingredients for tomorrow's Sunday dinner with Dad. We're having pot roast, with all the usual stuff. Dinner with Dad: priceless.

40. Wireless Keyboard Laser 6000 (style A, silver)
It might be the immediate predecessor of the model you are referring to.

The mouse is awesome - best ergnomic feel and is sensitive. Great for graphics work...

The keyboard is a bit lax with the CTRL key and the placement of some of the keys is weird. I'm not used to it. (again, it's ergonomic and not straight across...)

I might exchange it for the rev B model (which has a couple ergonomic enhancements but otherwise has the same angled layout) if I can't tweak it... or buy the mouse and their weird ergo keyboard as separate entities (plus get a PS2 adapter, I won't use USB for keyboard and mouse connections.)
