I want to move to New York City
Don't get me wrong, I love Albuquerque, New Mexico. It's the sweetest, most peaceful town I've ever lived in. But I miss the speed and bustle of NYC. I've worked there, but never lived there. (Complicated story.) Should I leave my beautiful Sandia Mtns and desert sunsets behind for the tall buildings, diversity, noise and raw energy of NY? If so, how does one go about doing that? I'm scared of being poor and homeless suddenly there. I've heard horror stories... but I lived in LA for almost two decades, and NY-ers I met there said NY is easier. Is it? Should I move there in 2007?
