Christmas trees
Do you use the same ornaments and lights year after year? I tend to get bored with the same thing, so I change them up every two or three years. I know people who have a different "theme" tree every year, but I'm not that arty.

Do you put your tree in a window so people going up and down the street can see it? I do, but I remember my father always putting our tree in a corner, saying that he didn't put up a tree so that a bunch of strangers could enjoy it. (Great Christmas spirit!) I have an artificial white tree that I have had for four years, and this year I'm putting red lights and red ornaments only. Next year, I think I will be ready for a green tree again.

1. We use the same ones every year.
Some are ornaments from my childhood, and some from my wife's childhood. We add new ones every year, and some have been retired, but it is always fun to open the boxes and remember the memories each ornament brings. That is one of the things that makes me love this time of year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!

2. That's beautiful.
My brother and his wife have bought one special ornament each Christmas since they have married. If they live long enough, they will have enough special ornaments to fill the tree.

4. I've got one from when I was a kid. My Mom gave it to me. And
although most of the memories are sad when I stop and think about it, that one ornament, when I bring it out of the box, only brings back the good ones.

5. I have a ton of ornaments.
I used to sell them, so I've collected a bunch over the years. I tend to mix them up. I haven't put up a tree for a few years (I used to work in retail and I just couldn't bear to do any more work when I got home), but this year we're going to have one and I'm excited. :)
