the party went on until late last night. One guy was leaving in two weeks, the other just got back. One has been to Iraq twice and the other guy has been to Iraq twice and Afghanistan once. They seemed in pretty good spirits considering they've spent their youth in one combat zone or the other. This can't go on much longer. I used to have the worst skin imagineable -- went to college, became vegan and suddenly Ta Da! I was like a new woman. I kicked myself for a whole year for being so thick about the whole thing. I don't know why the connection wasn't made by my dermatologist -- I have heard this happens with a lot of people. Do you happen to know anything about the biological mechanism? I'm now also quite lactose intolerant and wonder if the icky skin was part of that?
