V for Vendetta question for those who have read the graphic novels (spoilers) |
|
In the movie, there is some background mention in the British news of the American civil war. I think it's even mentioned twice in the movie. Is there any more detail on this civil war in the background of the graphic novels - how did it come about, who is fighting, etc.
Feel free to post any spoilers for the graphic novels. I was just curious.

it's actually a nuclear war instead of biological. Author Alan Moore wrote that at the time he was writing V in the 80's, it was still thought that humanity could survive a nuclear winter. I don't have a copy on hand to check, but I seem to recall that the reason for the war was not really mentioned, but I could be wrong. :)
