4. NFL coddling the QB rules are partly to blame

Not that you ever stop til the whistle blows -

But I know having seen the Jets get nailed with two roughing the passer calls on clean tackles that defenders don't know what the fuck to do with regard to the QB. You make a clean hit, but the refs say you're driving the QB ino the ground, or you hit with your shoulders and they say you're leading with your helmet.

Looked like the Giants rookie assumed he had the guy in the grasp which was his fatal mistake. But he was probably also afraid to hit with a penalty if he took the guy to the ground.
