4. Not really. "Vegetarians" who aren't are a dime a dozen, but they're still a minority.
Oh, and most of them realize Chicken is an animal. It's fish they hang up on, or gelatin or something.

6. I'm not even vegetarian and those "vegetarians" piss me off.
I eat fish. I call myself pescarian. And gelatin is totally out. I think even if I ate beef/pork, I still wouldn't eat gelatin, knowing what it is. :puke:

13. You can eat gelatin.
Just look for the ones made with agar, which is derived from seaweed. Or you can buy sheets or packets of ground agar and make your own 'jello' with fruit juices.

14. Yeah, I know about agar. It's just not "gelatin" gelatin.
I never liked jello anyway. It's just a matter of watching out for "hidden" gelatin for me.

15. Yeah that's a big one since it's in so many candies and pharmaceuticals.
Oh, and it kills me a little inside when I see "vegetarians" eating marshmallows. There are veg ones out there, they're just hard to find.

16. Yeah, the health food store by me (the one I used to manage at) carries them.
So many people, like LostinVA, think they're made from marshes.*

*I remember when she was hysterically flamed by someone who took her seriously.

17. I have to order them, since the closest B&M store that I know of that has them is in Santa Cruz
Maybe I should ask the co-op to carry them. Gawd knows we have plenty of other vegan junk food.

19. They are almost always made with gelatin
Gelatin (also gelatine, from French gélatine) is a translucent brittle solid substance, colorless or slightly yellow, nearly tasteless and odorless, which is created by prolonged boiling of animal skin, connective tissue or bones.
