Somebody calls you 'gay'. 'Gay' as in happy. Not the 'condition'.

What's your knee jerk reaction?

Jus' watching Match Game PM with William Shatner and he basically did what's choice #4 below...

1. The term gay to mean happy is antiquated and rarely if ever used.
If anything I'd be shocked at the usage and then probably agree if I was feeling gay.

i saw his roast on Comedy Central a while back, and there was the odd gay joke about Shatner.

Though he was known for being very friendly with women behind the scenes in "Star Trek".

I doubt he is. But there is a certain stereotype that suggests those who get instantly defensive when the "G" word comes up suggests they're hidin' something somewhere, and not always in the figurative sense...
