5. Hi SA.
Which is it... the teeth or the shoes? Enquiring minds desire the knowledge...:)

9. That's a relief about the teeth then!
Because I love your smile. The compulsion to display yourself by tapping down Main Street... that I can deal with!

19. Not much. Come to a new realization. Loving my fellow man
and all that. Took a look in the mirror and thought, "You really ought to get a hobby!" That sort of thing. What kind of beer that the bottle would smell like wood? It makes me want to drink beer.

24. Hobbies are good. I do the photography thing.
Saranac Black & Tan. The bottle only smells like wood because we kept cases of beer next to circular saw in the garage. They were all covered in sawdust. I had to wipe the bottle off before I could drink it.

Damn. That sounds kind of redneck.

26. Redneck? I suspect you secretly enjoy it!
I can smell the bottle. I lived in the woods for seven years and would still be there if it weren't for the blackflies!

I used to have so many hobbies. Now even the piano is languishing. It'll come back though.

29. It's From
Pink Floyd

Comfortably Numb
Hello.
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone home?

Come on, now.
I hear youre feeling down.
Well I can ease your pain,
Get you on your feet again.

Relax.
I need some information first.
Just the basic facts:
Can you show me where it hurts?

There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ships smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I cant hear what youre sayin.
When I was a child I had a fever.
My hands felt just like two balloons.
Now I got that feeling once again.
I cant explain, you would not understand.
This is not how I am.
I have become comfortably numb.

Ok.
Just a little pinprick.
Therell be no more --aaaaaahhhhh!
But you may feel a little sick.

Can you stand up?
I do believe its working. good.
Thatll keep you going for the show.
Come on its time to go.

There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ships smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I cant hear what youre sayin.
When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse,
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone.
I cannot put my finger on it now.
The child is grown, the dream is gone.
I have become comfortably numb.

I didn't recognize my almost favorite song. In high school it sustained me! In these later years it reminds me of many things.
edited for the usual typo made in haste

33. It Was (and is) One Of My Favorites Too
I must be just a little older than you because I was in college when it was released ;-)

I have become, comfortably numb.

Unfortunately, I've never found comfortably numb (in reality) to be that comfortable for long, but I can say I gave it a heck of a shot to try to find it!

Don't be embarrassed! I had to do a reality check when you asked if that was "just you" or what it was and googled the words "is there anybody in there" thinking that I was losing it.

It merely postpones the inevitable.

39. Yes, It Postpones It
and then when it comes, it is usually much worse

so here's to not being numb! (or necessarily comfortable since getting out of the comfort zone helps us to be challenged too!)

:toast: (with something non-numbing that is!)
