Doubts swirl over claim of WORMS in (McDonalds) burger
On March 20, Murielle Glockson got really sick.

She said her fever spiked to nearly 104 degrees. She went to the emergency room and was admitted to the hospital for more than a week. She racked up more than $36,000 in medical bills while receiving treatment for a bacteria infection that threatened her kidneys and liver.

So what made her so ill?

That afternoon, Glockson, 70, a retiree from Largo, ate a McDonald's hamburger infected with "little green worms," she said.

I love the local worm-burger stories. Looks like they tried to settle, but that fell through.

1. I cut a McD's cheeseburger in half one time...
...and the two halves wiggled away in separate directions.

2. I hate McDonalds.
But I have to back them up here-most of the claims of worms/maggots/what have you in the food are attempts at ripoffs.

And that looked like a caterpillar. I'd wonder if it was a plant.

3. I agree with you on the extreme cases
like fingers, rats, bugs, etc. I wouldn't be shocked to find out there were dead bugs cooked into the meat (this particular one has multiple violations).

An expert stated that he/she/they thought is was a caterpillar as well, and non-toxic to boot.

7. Dead bugs-I wouldn't be surprised in the least.
Sounds gross but sometimes I think I'd rather eat the dead bug than the McDonalds burger.

5. Well, "There's cow shit in my burger!" won't get your name in the papers, though it's true.
