WOW. The election has made SO many people happier than even I realized!!!
So, I'm driving northward to upstate NY with the MidloKidlos. We leave Tuesday to beat the traffic.

I'm on 95 headed north and the traffic isn't too terrible. I stay in the left lane to avoid all the folks getting on and off and I'm going between 50-55 MPH because the van is brand new and I'm breaking it in.

I couldn't get over the number of people that came roaring up behind me, flashing their lights and honking and gesturing. It was as though they were gesticulating to the heavens "what took us so long to get a blue country?". It was amazing.

One thing I hadn't noticed before however is the outrageous number of people that were victims of wood shop accidents. So many of these Americans were waving at me with just one finger! It was something to really open my eyes.

On the way back, folks must have been thinking about shopping because from the middle lane, now that the van had 1000 miles on it, no one waved.

1. amen to that!
although, to be honest, going 50 in the left lane is perfectly legitimate grounds for being waved at.

2. especially in New York!
Or NJ and PA, too.

(and CT if you ever get back up that way)

I think in Mass, it's legal to run a person off the road for driving too slow in the left lane.

3. Wait. Do you mean I was getting the one finger salute for going too slowly?
And here I thought they were all victims of unruly saws.

6. I'm glad you're back!
I think it's a crime how our liberal media refuse to report on the widespread scourge of American wood shop accidents.

7. I have been seeing a lot more lefty/liberal type bumper stickers lately.
Even thought Idaho is still as red as can be, I think the recent election emboldened some lefties to "come out of the closet."

9. Same here in PA
though I did see a "I would rather be hunting with Santorum" on a senior citizen's car yesterday. Had he been going to the same shopping center as I was, I would have politely let him know that Rick would probably have some free time in late January and he should try to set up a hunting trip.

*When I typed "have you" into the subject line, it was originally auto-filled with "Have you ever had a pink taco with another DUer?"
