I'm still substituting. There was no work today.
Not many teachers dare call in sick when they
just had a five day break.

We finally got a smidgen of rain, down here
in SoCal. I see that WA and OR really got hit hard this
Fall!

Stay warm, dry and safe, Aristus.

39. Thank you. I will. Puyallup just got a light dusting of snow;
nothing to worry about. But apparantly in Seattle and points north, it is really coming down.

But as for the rain, you're right; We were hit very hard. The Puyallup River was only about 18 inches from flooding its banks. And I live on the Puyallup River floodplain. :scary: You can bet my homeowner's insurance is paid up! B-)

69. Howdie Neighbor
I live on the Puyallup Reservation about a block uphill from the Emerald Queen Casino. Ok so we are not EXACTLY neighbors, the river is about 1/4 mile from me and a few hundred feet lower in elevation. I have seen firsthand some of the damages a runaway Puyallup river has caused over the past decade. My fave frisbee-disc golf course in Sumner got clobbered one year resulting in most of the course being buried under silty-mud that was over 3 feet deep in places! There are/were mobile homes right next to that park which were absolutely devastated.
It got hella cold here last night... From my window I could see I-5 northbound all jammed up this morning due to the icy conditions on the Puyallup River bridge. :hi:

(ps: in case any one else reading this is wondering: "Puyallup = Pew-Wall-Up"...simple as that!)

Nemo, the short haired one makes very strange noises(grunts)
but talks sometimes.

Darwin, his long haired brother talks and chirps( internally),
all the time!! He's very vocal. He even lets us know when he's
thinking about something, which with a cat, is quite often.
