The next one I post will be in a few months, after I drop some of these extra pounds I've been carrying around! I dropped about 70 pounds three years ago, and unfortunately, as could be seen by the pics I posted, I regained about 45-50 of it back. The last year and a half has been very busy, stressful and painful, so I pretty much fell off the wagon. But I just got my degree, we won the election, and I'm just about recovered from the nasty breakup, so things are starting to look a little more hopeful.

This is "Democratic Underground", not "My Space". Not everyone I work with shares my views and I find it much easier to speak my mind if I know I won't get questioned about it by anyone at work.

Initially because of more practical privacy concerns (jobs, tenure, whatever) and now just on general principle. Can't be persuaded or coerced, either. I've always been too easy to identify, with just a piece or two of information, and I choose not to have my life invaded or exposed in that way.

Seems like every time the family is out or every holiday, I'm the cameraman. So lots of pictures of the family, none of dad. Same with the camcorder. One day after I'm dead, my kids will have no record of their father to show their children.

Maybe I'll just have to use the timer or teach my girls how to use my camera.
