Let's recap the last two weeks of YVR (and area) weather shall we...
-Hurricane force winds
-Record rainfall
-Floods
-Mudslides
-About a foot of snow
-Temps are expected to dip to -10C tonight

But the good news is, that after 11 days we can FINALLY drink our tap water again without boiling it.

1. I predict there'll be a plague of locusts by the end of the week,
and four horseman by next Monday.

:hi:

Not much better down this way, ya know. :scared:

2. Have You Been Very... Well.... Bad?
or something?

sounds like you are being punished????

:hi:

Someone mentioned locusts

I'd watch for hail that starts fires first, then locusts

then I'd get the heck out of Vancouver if that happens.

But, I'd be afraid to tell you where to go next as it might follow you.

Geez

At least you can drink your tap water. I'd still boil it. Did it turn red?

I blame the gays. I'm not getting any, so He can't be mad at me.

3. For once I don't envy the big city folk.
At least the boil-water advisory lasted only a few hours in the Comox Valley.

In the meantime, there's a hell of a lot of snow here that won't be leaving for at least a few days, and I have to drive at least 900 km worth of it this week.

Glad to see you made it through the water-thing, yvrgirl!

I made sure to fill up before I left.

Careful with all that driving.

5. they lifted the advisory? That must mean the turbidity reading dropped
... below 5 NTUs. At last!

(on further examination I see it's just above that, but better yet, the bacteria tests came back negative. So at least there won't be a surge of tummy ailments.)
