What politicians are you the most physically attracted to?
This post was inspired by the "John and Jeff Show" episode that was on KLSX last night/early this morning. At the beginning of an hour asking who the "hottest senior citizens" are, both of them were talking about how attracted they were to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, calling her an OWF ("older woman fantasy"). What politicians do you find physically attractive?

she came to mind for me as well, only because she's from my home state.

but good grief, she's a blue dog!

So I have to say I much prefer Tammy Baldwin - member of the Progressive Caucus. Met her in person 8 years ago. She's very attractive. Plus we were both valedictorians in the class of 1980.

29. I like Stephanie Herseth, too

I noticed her when she first ran (unsuccessfully) for the House in '02, and it's been cool to see her success since then. She first won in a special election to replace SD's reckless-driving Rep in early '04 and just this month managed a truly impressive margin of victory (69-percent) for a Democrat in such a dark-red state. Yeah, I wish she weren't a blue dog, but I figure it goes with representing such a conservative state. (Then again, McGovern came out of South Dakota, so maybe not...) But considering how popular she seems to be in SD, she might be a good shot to take on John Thune for the Senate in 2010; it'd be awesome to see him defeated by a Democratic hottie!

41. I had the same thought
about her defeating Thune. Then I had to wonder, is she gonna be 35 by election time, since there is an age requirement for Senators. Her bio does not say, but since she had her law degree by 1997, I am guessing she was born in 1972 or 1973 which would make her at least 37 by 2010.

54. Yeah, she's young looking
Like John Edwards and Barack Obama, Herseth is actually older than her looks indicate. According to her Wikipedia bio, she was born in December of '70, so she'll be old enough to run for the Senate in 2010. And unless Daschle decides to try to take back his old seat from Thune, she may be the most prominent South Dakota Democrat, and would have a good shot at the seat. (I don't really know South Dakota politics that well, though, so there may be some other Dems who would have a good shot.)

I concur one hundred percent. I think he gets into trouble because of that magnetism; women are so strongly attracted to him and he can't resist them (my father compares it to waving a drink in front of an alcoholic). I have a friend who is a very serious journalist who had never once even hinted at being attracted to any kind of polititian or celebrity; when Bill Clinton was coming to town she turned and said to me "I just want to kiss him."

Big Bill! Big Bill! Big Bill! He'll always be my president, till the next Democrat!!

Every time I watched him make a speech in person in'92 during the campaign, I felt like a mule that had been hit between the eyes with a two by four. I could barely talk. Gobsmacked. It was embarrassing to have a vocabulary that consisted of "Duhhhhhhh....." Especially when you have been certified as a genius by the psychologists from an early age.

When I was walking away from the rally, all I could say is "God, he's a DOLL!!!".

The man has more charisma than the law allows.

All kidding aside, I am looking forward to Edwards announcing his 08 pres bid any day now. I will be in line to volunteer, and who knows I might even get to meet Cate, I mean John.

John Edwards website is a good place to check out. It appears to be setting the grounds for his 08 run. They have blogs, podcasts (sorry Kim -Jong Il), and other mechanisms in place to ride the populist movement online that was so successful with moveon and such this past election.
