Now I KNOW I'm losing it...
 I took the dogs with me to the grocery store earlier tonight, and when I got back in the car to leave, some asshole in a HUGE SUV had parked right beside me, blocking my view of the oncoming traffic. I had to back out very, very slowly, and as I did, I told the dogs, "Tell me if there is anyone coming, OK?" :yoiks: Needless to say, they were NOT helpful with that kind of information. :P I made it out OK, but not before laughing at myself....

1. Meh
I talk to my dogs all the time. They even answer me sometimes so I'm pretty sure I've finally gone crazy. :silly:

5. And I get kisses!
Not always the best way to wake up, but at least I know I'm loved. :)

3. Been there!
Recently, too!

Just told my cat to guard the house, because I left the window open to go take a walk around the block. Yeah, I actually lived in L.A.....and I am now leaving a window open while I go for a walk...and leave a cat to "guard the house." I hate to do oneupmanship, here, but hey...

9. Hehe.
That reminds me of this one story with my mom. This happened maybe five years ago. I went running down the stairs really fast and our crazy-ass German Shepherd came charging around the corner and leapt up at me, hackles up, growling. Anyway, I just lunged back at her and pinned her. So here I am sitting on top of a German Shepherd's belly (who weighs nearly as much as I do), shaking her by the collar and saying, "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?!?!"

I'm relating the story to my mom and she replies with, "what did she say?" My sister & I both looked at her and said, "Mom, it's the dog. She didn't say anything."

BTW, Cheyenne never charged at anyone running down the stairs ever again. She was a really protective-aggressive dog, but a total baby with the family. I know that she didn't realize it was me running down the stairs.

12. Oh yeah, we never worried about her not protecting us.
In fact, we would have preferred if she was less protective. Of course, she did train herself to go downstairs when the doorbell rang. If people came to the house, she'd bark three times and go into the basement. It was like, "I'll just put myself away, since I know I'd just rip their throats out."

She was a good dog, though (and a great mom/disciplinarian to the cats).
