Convince me to spend some money on me
I just found the camera I want (well... the one I'll settle for) on eBay. It's slightly used, but it comes with a lens and an optional high-voltage battery pack — and it has only one bid at $400! (New, it's like $900 without a lens or anything else.)

Trouble is, I've always had a real hard time spending money on non-essential items, unless it's just a few bucks. But I've been without a "real" camera for years, and that's deprived me of a bit of my soul.

TELL ME WHAT TO DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!11

6. Go with your gut..
This is like the, "do I love my girlfriend questions." You already know the answer. The fact that you had to ask is all the answer you need.

8. I'd rather you spent the money on ME.
Since you're unlikely to do that, buy your camera. You won't regret it.

12. I know me. I wouldn't spend the money
and for exactly the reason you're hesitating. It's non-essential.

But if you can afford it, and you'll get a lot of use out of it, then it would be a good thing to have.

17. Just Do It!

because it feels good

because it's something you really really want

because it'll be money that's well spent = you'll enjoy every dollar over and over again (which makes 'em worth more)

21. Well, then, get yourself a nice camera because
Life is for Living~! You have to have something like that if your spirit yearns for it --- don't deprive yourself of something that can give you creativity and joy, if you can afford to get it.

When you're on your deathbed, your regrets won't be that you died with more money in the bank, they will be the things you ***didn't*** do. That you could have done.

At this point I'd be more into digital for a camera, but it's your heart and your love, there is such a thing as 'moderation' in non-essential items.

You need more than food and water; you need to smell the roses, and capture them on film. A camera expresses your joy in life.

23. If you don't make a bid now, I will. And then you'll rew the day that you hesitated.
You'll be nothing but a camera-less bastard, crying into your pillow. C'mon, you camera-less freakjob.

(Its called Tough Love...I don't really mean it lol)

26. If you are okay in terms of bills paid up, etc., then I say, go for it.
If the camera is something that you really want, and you aren't going to be spending the rent money on it, then why not? If you really want the camera, and plan to use it, then get it. It's okay to get something for yourself on occasion, dude. And, it sounds like you can get it for a great price.

The Reverend High Priestess of the Church of Ethereal Pleasure gives her blessing to this purchase.
