Delilah is playing nothing but Christmas songs

http://www.radiodelilah.com/home/home.html

Time to pull out the box of wine and the expired sedatives kick some cats out of the way and see if you body can make it to the New Year.

:wow:

This is a running joke in my house. I know I know Delilah does lots of good stuff for adoption and for the lovelorn and so forth but for the love of God listening to this makes me some sort of ____cidal.

Not really but you get the idea.

So....any Delilah fans out there?

1. I listen from time to time
but I can't listen this time of year. Non-stop Christmas music sends me nutty. Just because it's Christmas that doesn't mean we stop liking the music we listen to the rest of the year. I don't know why we can just add holiday music to the mix instead of changing the music completely.

2. Is she the one who gives advice to the lovelorn and plays
Air Supply-type songs? If so, I've heard her, and she deals in a lot of pathos, doesn't she?

4. One of out local radio stations has Delilah on in the evening.
If that station is playing at work, it's difficult to listen to. Working second shift, IMHO, requires more upbeat music. Delilah has a good show, but, the music is more suited for relaxing in the evening, not for working.

5. I was listening to her on our trip back from VA..
and she was asking people to tell their inspiring christmas stories...

and this one story was about a guy whose christmas tree got blown out of his truck on a highway (didn't tie it down right)...and he and his kids had to go look for it and the state troopers were helping ...blah blah blah...and then they go back to the tree farm and get a tree...and blah blah blah...and the whole while the guy is talking about being so blessed...cuz he gets two trees and donates one to charity...blah blah blah..

and my husband is listening and thinking how sweet....and I am sitting there snorting with laughter..and Mr. B thinks I have blown a gasket...and asks me what is wrong...and I then I tell him I envision the next caller will be...

"well a few christmas's back, we were driving down the highway and this christmas tree came flying into our windshield....."

8. LOL
That is too funny.

My wife has just about had it with my laughing and snide comments while we have this on in the background.

7. There are a number of stations here that carry her show...
I find it quite irritating, to say the least. But if people get comfort out of her, then who am I to criticize?

Personally, I prefer to plug in the ipod and rock out!

9. She seems to be fond of that god-awful song about "mama needs a new pair
of shoes so she'll look good if she meets Jesus tonight."

GACK! GACK! TRIPLE-GACK!
