So I am reading GD... and go through a couple of threads |
|

house parties... how kucinich can win... and start thinking to myself, "What is this... have I stumbled into GD Primaries" - as GD has been rather transformed of late... I wonder..."oh my do I need to check the ask the admin to try to figure out what has changed?"
Then I looked at the top of the forum... yep - unexpectedly I HAD stumbled into the GD Primaries Forum!
Anyone else enjoying the GD split as much as I am? Or do you want to vent about it? Or how about the new spell check! Let's hear it for continued evolution on the boards of DU!

1. yippee for spell check! |
|
I am so happy! I am a professional write who can't spell worth a darned and I'm a dyslexic typist, to boot. Spell check rules! Thanks for giving it to us, oh great DU admins! :toast: Please note: "two words changed" in this post.

2. I prefer the old GD forum |
|
I understand why they split it up. I just think it was more convenient the other way.

3. Agreed it was more convenient |
|
one click to see both types of threads. But I appreciate the split - as most non campaign threads got pushed off the front page in minutes by the very enthusiastic campaign supporters (not to mention the level of flame wars that ended up erupting on almost ANY thread.)

7. NO...all the GD threads were trounced by the political threads |
|
I like it just fine the way it is. I never visit the GD2004 forum...I am undecided and prefer to listen to the candidates themselves and not the people who support their god ordained candidate...it is like listening to c-span and hearing how wonderful geroge w* is.

10. Convenient and Yet ... |
|
I like it better this way. As Steve Earle put it (paraphrasing), "I like it better when all the snakes are in one basement."

Now threads in general dscussion on other issues that are also important stand a snowball's chance in hell of surviving..but I do follow the candidate's forums as I am still not decided..even though I do have my "pet" candidate.

GD is no longer menacing these days.
And the spell check is absolutely tops! :toast:
On edit: And I should have used spell check on this before posting...
