12. What is Life? And where do I find one?
While brewing a fresh pot would be nice. Frequently I won't drink the whole pot. I know this is sacrilege, but have been trying to cut down,

13. Eating / Drinking anything microwaved is bad for your health
kills the life, shakes up the stuff at the atomic level, makes it an energy zapper - drain on the body. If you microwave milk to feed an infant, the infant will DIE. If you water plants with microwaved water (not while its' still hot!) they will DIE. If you microwave your food / water on a regular basis, you are hurting your health and vitality.

15. I doubt that a microwaved beverage would kill an infant.
If so, it would be making the news all the time. And doctors would warn people about it (which they don't) and there would probably be public service announcements about it (which there aren't).

Microwaves have been around for a looooooooong time and I'm not sure they've made the kind of impact you're talking about...:shrug:

(by the way, I microwave cold coffee)

28. Type in "microwave" and "health" and read anything you want.
http://www.cancersalves.com/articles/Microwave.html
excerpt
In early 1991, word leaked out about a lawsuit in Oklahoma. A woman named Norma Levitt had hip surgery, only to be killed by a simple blood transfusion when a nurse "warmed the blood for the transfusion in a microwave oven"!Logic suggests that if heating or cooking is all there is to it, then it doesn't matter what mode of heating technology one uses. However, it is quite apparent that there is more to 'heating' with microwaves than we've been led to believe.Blood for transfusions is routinely warmed-but not in microwave ovens! In the case of Mrs. Levitt, the microwaving altered the blood and it killed her.

excerpt
Blanc and Hertel found that eating microwaved food:

* Increases cholesterol
* Increases white blood cell numbers
* Decreases red blood cell numbers
* Causes production of radiolytic compounds (compounds unknown in nature)

excerpt
RUSSIANS BAN MICROWAVE OVENS
After the World War II, the Russians also experimented with microwave ovens.
. . . .
1. Heating prepared meats in a microwave sufficiently for human consumption created:
* d-Nitrosodiethanolamine (a well-known cancer-causing agent)
* Destabilization of active protein biomolecular compounds
. . . .
4. Cancer-causing free radicals were formed within certain trace-mineral molecular formations in plant substances, especially in raw root vegetables;
5. Ingestion of micro-waved foods caused a higher percentage of cancerous cells in blood;
6. Due to chemical alterations within food substances, malfunctions occurred in the lymphatic system, causing degeneration of the immune system=s capacity to protect itself against cancerous growth;
7. The unstable catabolism of micro-waved foods altered their elemental food substances, leading to disorders in the digestive system;
8. Those ingesting micro-waved foods showed a statistically higher incidence of stomach and intestinal cancers, plus a general degeneration of peripheral cellular tissues with a gradual breakdown of digestive and excretory system function;
. . . .
As a result microwave ovens were banned in Russia in 1976; the ban was lifted after Perestroika.

23. Absolutely. The neutrons are from an enriched lump of U238
that's in the back of the microwave. When you turn on the microwave, all that does is open the lead doors that cover the lump!

:P

25. I only drink one cup, and I have tried several different things
including the french press (big mess and not as tasty as I'd like), instant (some are ok but mostly yuck), etc.

But I hit upon a very tasty solution, and sorry, it does involve the microwave. Maxwell House makes these Cafe Collection coffee pods. Put one pod in a good size coffee mug full of water, microwave for three minutes (maybe two but my microwave is slow) and almost instantly a very good cup of coffee without the trouble and mess.

It is gross, and I've never been able to understand why the majority of people in this country love the stuff so much. Drinking coffee is like drinking unsweetened tea--blech.
