Favorite and least favorite "novelty" holiday song?
By "novelty" song, I mean those originals that have no covers also being played on the radio--"Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer," "Step Into Christmas," etc.

My favorite novelty is probably Wham!'s "Last Christmas" or John and Yoko's "Happy Christmas (War is Over)."

Least favorite has got to be "The Christmas Shoes." Blaah! :puke:

1. Both good choices for Favorite.
Worst: Grandma got run over by a reindeer. If I hear that song one more time I'm going to turn green and beat someone. x(

2. Agreed. Elmo and Patsy should be in Gitmo
Best christmas songs are the Heat Miser/Cold Miser songs from The Year Without A Santa Claus (although calling them christmas songs is a real stretch).

Actually, if I hear pretty much any christmas song again I'm going to turn green and beat someone.

And to make matters worse the big boss decided we should play Christmas music, even though we never having music playing any other time of year. Oh, did I mention that the office looks like a damn Christmas tree threw up in it?

I fucking hate Christmas. x(

Edited because there is an 'H' in 'much'. ;)

5. Favorite: The Only Law that Santa Claus Understood
It's a Western tune about Santa getting drunk, losing a poker game and going on a shooting rampage. Never got much air play unless you count a couple college radio stations in the mid-80s
