Anybody using Automatic Shower Cleaner?
This thing:

Automatic Shower Cleaner Cleans your shower at the touch of a button! Cleans soap scum, removes mold and mildew stains. Time Delay Start-press button and walk away. 360° Power Sprayer covers all four walls.

It's getting kinda difficult for us decrepits to scrub showers.
Anybody used this?
Thanks.

1. i want to buy it just to see it go off.
do you think it's like that Cheez-It commercial where the guy sits down and the office is immediately engulfed in orange powder?

because if i could recreate that in my bathroom, that would be fan-freakin-tastic.

2. My wife hung up one of those without telling me.
I thought it was a full body soap dispenser.

4. Why trof, I have all the info you need! I bought one of those
about six months ago or so. If you remember to use it, it will keep your shower fresher for a longer period of time. With three people taking showers here, I would normally have to scrub the shower once/week. If I use this thing, I can stretch it to two weeks before the real elbow work is needed. You will still have to scrub your shower, just not as often.

One thing I noticed is that it will not get an already dirty shower clean - you have to start with a clean shower. My biggest problem is forgetting to push the button and use it when I'm done with my shower. I guess that is my age showing!

5. Thanks, Buns. Dern.
(My new favorite word is 'dern'.)
I was hoping for something that would just do the job.
:-(

6. Well, you and Ms. T might be a little less dirty than me and my
gang, so perhaps it would do the job for you!

You could get a bottle of that spray shower cleaner and try it out - I think it's basically the same stuff. If that worked, you'd have your answer. And if it didn't, your investment would be minimal.

Or, hire a cleaning service. :D

7. Miz t. sez 'A woman doesn't need a man, but...
a maid is essential.'

Most of our repug neighbors have Guatemalans or Colombians doing the scut work.
DOCUMENTED, I'm SURE.
heh heh

It's normally very humid here, so algae and mildew and mold and other unknown stuff (pink?) is a problem.
Maybe I'll just get a long handled brush?

10. Also
My mother swears by liquid soap and body wash. Never use bar soap, she says. The liquid soap won't build up on surfaces like bar soap.

I have a steam cleaner (looks like that thing in the photo) and it dissolves stuff pretty well. I'm very allergic to most strong cleaners so I have to use it.

:)

11. It's actually doing a good job for us.
It gets into a lot of the little cracks that I'd given up on.
