15. The last time I posted, the post was deleted.

I guess I was swayed by the power of the post! Actually, it was on a thread about "Starship Troopers". As I recall, the OP claimed that the movie was horrible because it promoted facism. I've always felt that the film was sooo over the top that it was really satire which exposed the dangers of facism. At least that's what I thought I had said. The next day, when I went back to check on responses, I discovered that my post was deleted, so I couldn't even find out where I went wrong. Apparently, I offended a number a folks, because there was a mini-flamefest following my deleted post. Oh well, I guess some people have thin skins.

Sometimes I feel like the "No Fun Nancies" are on patrol, and it's just not worth my time to get involved. However, I have a great time in GD and the Lounge. My neighbors must think I'm crazy, because they hear me laughing out loud almost every night, but they don't hear a TV in the background (I don't even own a TV...).

I lurked for a long time before I joined. Lurking gives one an excellent outlook on the hostile posters (who will jump on anyone in an a New York minute), the intelligent posters (almost always different from the hostile ones), and just the nice people out there who are fun to talk to and don't attack for fun or make jokes at another person's expense. It is really amazing what one can glean from the posts of others. Sadly, if I was lurking now, I'm not sure I would have joined; there seems to be so much infighting.

Funny, how before the election we all were so together. Do we just need an enemy to fight? Now we feel they are vanquished - we turn on each other? Naw, you know what? That won't work. The Freeps must love visiting this site and seeing all the misery we put on each other.
