Just got a part in some community theatre; my triumphant - not! - return to the stage has been a long time coming and I'm having a blast with that. Also playing with my new and first-ever digital camera, as evidenced by this thread. And now I'm posting on DU while a James Taylor special is on PBS. So all things considered I'm having wa-aay more fun than I've had in a long time. :7

I didn't even know you were an actress.

As far as me, I'm just doing my regular routine of work and DU. I also just finished a TV pilot script that I sent in for coverage, and which I will enter into a contest or two soon. The script was originally going to take a year to complete, but I managed to do it in a month and a half -- I guess NYC inspired me.

Basically, dramas with bits of dark comedy, although I don't write professionally.

My real job is in the entertainment industry, in a certain capacity, though.

I mean it's just community theatre. Total amateurs... but it's SO much fun! I let it go for too long. It's really good to get back in touch with that part of my spirit again.

And it sounds as though NY,NY is treating you very well. I can certainly understand where the energy and excitement of the big city would be inspiring. I am so glad to hear that things are working out well for you, and so excited to hear of your progress.

That's Jeoffry, named for the Chistopher Smart poem, Jubilate Agno, which starts out, "For I will consider my cat, Jeoffry...". He has rather Siamese features; he's long and sleek, with a chiseled, elegant profile. He is the Cary Grant of cats. But he's really a cuddly love-bug.

And I love his name, it suits him so well. I figured he had some of the Tabby cuddle bug in him too, I don't think I've ever known a Tabby who wasn't an affection junkie.

My cat is the same way about bags. She is torn between thinking they are the absolute best surface to lie down on (or attempt to climb in!), and thinking they are the absolute best item to destroy! Cats can be really funny.
