1:41 A.M. My girlfriend teases me that I'm obsessed with Blogging. Am I? |

Newbie confessions here.
I found DU a few months ago and with it became a blogger. This is the only place I've ever blogged as it seems to reflect a diversity of views (from very serious to very silly). I dig both and share the general collective disdain for BushCo. So I'm happy here. Mostly hang out in the General Discussion Group.
For the past 3 months on average:
I'm probably on DU 5X a week for up to 2-3 hours total throughout the day.
I rarely watch TV, so this is my news.
Frequently respond and usually start 1-2 new threads a day. Really enjoy the banter.
When she's here - I'm NOT here. But, when she's at her place and calls; she finds me frequently jabbering away at DU. If it's nice outside - I'm NOT here. But, when it's past midnight and all is quiet and dark; am frequently here - late!
Am I being sucked into some internet addiction? Or do I still have A LIFE like I think I do? :freak:
How do ya know????

but that doesn't mean you don't have a life. As you said yourself, you are not always online at DU, only when alone and when the weather is bad. So no need to worry.

2. Yep...it can be an addiction. |

I know that I am hooked. Like you I also look to the DU for news and info. It is a great filter for the daily news I see on CNN. Seeking enlightenment is not such a bad addiction imo. I usually spend the last couple hours or so of my time before bed here in the DU. (A lot of it is right here in the lounge but I confess to being a lover of cats, dogs and snark) :hi:
