It is as cold as Germany here, this room is not even heated so I'll not be able to stay much longer myself. I don't know if I have ever told you this: I love your cartoons.

7. Grüß Gott
gosh, I was so used to say that when I lived in the Black Forrest and at the Lake Constance. Now since I am in Frankfurt I say "Morche" or so :)

I'm doing fine. I can't really say it is cold yet. The temps are around 50F, way too warm for end of November/begin of December. But it is cold enough in the evenings that I can enjoy a Glühwein at the Christmas Market.

Glad you enjoy the cartoons. I love reading 9 Chickweed Lane and the drawer has the cat cartoons correct. Maybe I post a new one in January.

12. Well I have often wondered why folks say:
"Greek God" as a form of hello, down in Bavaria. (Do they still do that?)
I remember the Krist-Kringle Market in Nurnberg, that used to be the best place to get christmas tree ornaments. I always felt like I was living in medieval Germany when I strolled among the stalls there. Every time I chat with you I get sad from missing Germany, your country holds so many happy memories for me. Have you ever been Nachtwanderung?

It has only just warmed up to about 35 degrees(F) here. It has been in the mid 20s for the past few days. I try to keep my electricity bill down by not heating rooms which are unused for most of the day, this room is one of those.
This is your third kitty cartoon that I can recall, I have always liked them, they seem to be a part of your DU identity.
It is quite late here in Washington, my toes are cold so I apologize for not staying up much longer.

43. I moved in last Friday ~ without a stick of furniture.
My ass will have a waffle-weave affect for days from sitting (when I've had the time) on a milk crate. The only disadvantage of sleeping on a lounge chair is getting up, my knees are happier this morning because we slept in a real bed last night. Rooms To Go will be back next Wednesday to put my dining room table together - the hardware was lost in shipping. The also need to exchange an extra footboard for the canopy rails.
I'll find my computer cables later today. I'm working on battery with the old Dell at the moment. I'm going to have a land-land line installed = dial-up will be cheaper than Comcast High-speed. :banghead: that is when & if they get around to running a wire down from the roof. The installer couldn't complete my hook-up on Saturday. You see = I'm the first tenant back in this apartment since it was damaged by a hurricane last Fall.

My battery is at 1/2. I don't know how much longer I'll be here. :scared:

74. Hurray ~ I found them!

I tossed 'em in Miss Frodo's gear bag for a faster exit. I couldn't stay in the old place ... not even for one_more_day after I realized how much car exhaust was drifting in. Every time I wiped the dew (Southern Women just get dewy ~ they never sweat perspire) off of my face the tissue was black :wtf: I don't want either of us to breathe that stuff.

We are waiting for screens (I only have 2 out of 7 at the moment) so I'm living in total air conditioning until next week unless I want to chase cute little lizards back out the open windows. I hope power doesn't cost an arm and a leg! There is a beautiful breeze here most of the time. :) I'm looking forward to leaving the windows open at night.

I've got unpacking in Lighthouse Point to do. We have a one year lease.

32. Oh, yeah, these two dogs are spoiled rotten....
 They could survive like camels for weeks on the stored "energy" they have. :P I know they're hungry, though....

Let's see.... Today, I'm doing a thorough cleaning in my office. I shipped all of the equipment from my old job (feels great to say that!!!) back to the company yesterday, and what's left is the junk. Most of it can be thrown away, but I can do that as I need to. My husband and I are also going to pull out the Christmas decorations and put those up this afternoon. Tomorrow, I'm getting my hair trimmed and going shopping. I'm not sure what the weekend will bring---I may just take it easy since I have to go back to work Monday.

BTW, one of my new employees called me yesterday afternoon to ask about what I wanted on my business cards, name plate, etc. She said they can't WAIT for me to start!!!! :) And I feel the same way (athough I really CAN wait until Monday...:P).

it is rather warm here in Germany and by far not the temperatures to get in the mood for Christmas. So I don't know yet if I pull out my Christmas stuff. I get visitors in two weeks, maybe then.

We live three blocks away so we always walk to school. Most of the yuppie-wannabes drive their kids to the front door and drop them off so that's the 2/3 that showed up.

The 1/3 that didn't are the ones (like myself) who conserve gas as much as possible or the parents who don't have cars to drive. (We have quite a few Asian immigrants and Hispanic/Latin immigrants that do not own vehicles. They walk or bike around town.)

69. But not at the Christmas Market???
I believe Glühwein is the thing, they cell most on the Market. Maybe I get me a Feuerzangenbowle or a Eiergrog rather than a Glühwein :D
