Charlie Manson is 72
sirhan is 62. Time is moving on, do you think they'll ever get out of prison? Do they deserve to get out?

1. Maybe out of prison, but not out of confinement.
Manson is crazy, and Psychological confinement is waranted if not prison.

Sirhan is harder to forget. He's never made any kind of justification or reason for what he did. Even Hinkley did that.

2. Since the Manson family killing spree
There have been more depraved crimes and those people have done their time and gotten out (for the most part). I think it's time to ship charlie out to some mental health facility.
He's probably been institutionalized, so, I doubt he could ever be independent, but, I believe he's paid his debt.

3. No he hasn't, he's still alive, let him rot in jail till he dies
Ask yourself this. If he had killed your parents, would you want him out of prison?

4. I'll munch to that...SIRHAN on the other hand...
Personally, I think the entire world would be radically different if HE hadn't showed up at Robert Kennedy's victory party. IMHO, He owes all of us.

5. I can't go see "Bobby", can't relive that, too painful
How different the world would be if the Kennedy's were still with us.

6. I have to go see it. Deb wasn't quite old enough to understand....
...how we felt about him. Thinks he could have been the bomb, but as INSOC would word it, Deb unbellyfeels Bobby.

9. I nearly cry when I see the commercials
He would have ended the war, Carter then Reagan would never have been elected.

On and on.

11. It's one of those things that makes me not believe in God.
Either that, or pray that there is no God to punish us.

MILLIONS dead, dying or hungry that would be alive and happy today.

12. If I had to choose.....MANSON.
If I saw Sirhan on the street, I might be motivated to do something very foolish.

8. Sirhan caused the world much more grief than Manson ever could
Sirhan will definitely be in jail until he dies. Manson will die in jail too, simply because he's so crazy (and so notorious) they really don't know what to do with him.

13. Fortunately, in America we don't punish
based on an extension of how much grief was caused by someone's murder.

Both Manson and Sirhan will indeed die in prison, but not Sirhan for the reasons you state.
