I just had a run in with the heating element on my toaster oven...

Man that sucker gets HOT!

The heating elements generally have electricity running through them. Thats why you should never bring one of them plugged in into the bath tub with you (what reason would you have to do that anyway), and you should never stick metal silverware into a toaster., ect...

2. sorry...
it happens...during my food services days, I got burned almost daily...from the deep fat fryer, ovens, and steamers...I got a few scars to boot. :) Put some aloe on it, or some solarcaine...it might bring you some relief...:hi:

7. i may soon be feeling his pain, just got a call to interview for a job
that will be 55-60 hours a week

I am settling in alright. Still not sure I like it here. I am guessing that I could live here 20 years and not be sure if I like it here yet.

All in all, kind of interesting anyway.

9. yeah SoCal is a love/hate thing for me too
some great stuff, some really crappy stuff

but so many GREAT day trips available in that area :bounce:

6. Ouch...
I'm sorry. Aloe. I've burned my arm/hands/fingers more times than I can count and aloe works best. Doesn't do much about the pain, but it heals faster.
