EMERGENCY! Need help! How do I open champagne w/out a corkscrew?!
I have a bottle and I need to drink it.

4. Unwind the wire
Put a towel over the top of the bottle and gently twist the cork.

Use the towel. I took out a skylight once with a champagne cork because I just tried to pop it without protection!

8. I like to hold the cork
and twist the bottle at the base. It seems to work better.

If you open champagne *with* a corkscrew, you've either got really bad champagne, or you're going to have problems.
