WTF is wrong with me
I have basically slept away the last 2 days. I had three days off and I have slept away two of them.

1. You're either lazy or depressed.

I'm both.

5. That may be it, then.
I know that's how my body deals with illness and as a result I rarely get a full-blown cold or 'flu'.

6. I've been doing that a lot lately!
On the four-day Thanksgiving weekend I slept almost constantly, but part of that was that I was (unsuccessfully) trying to quit caffeine cold turkey (no pun intended)!

9. Seasonal Affective Disorder?
Happens to a lot of people this time of year due to the shortened days.

10. I struggle with dips without enough light. Especially in December.
On the other hand, sometimes it's nice to be able to sleep in.

:)

13. I dunno - I've been sleeping a LOT more lately ...
I go to bed late b/c of work stuff, but I've been sleeping 10 hours regularly - and I used to get restless after 8 or so. I haven't gotten less sleep lately that I'm making up for, either.

It could simply be pure instinct, what you (and others, including me) are dealing with - we're coming up on the beginning of winter when hibernation is not unusual. Shorter days, colder weather = sleep!

Also, if you're a nurse, you probably need the extra rest. Just dealing with everyone else's needs all day is tiring... my mom was a nurse and I have no idea how she survived, esp. once us kids came along.
