12. I just bought a Steve Guttenberg movie....

High Spirits, in which an poverty stricken Anglo-Irishman tries to save the family castle by promoting it as a Haunted Hotel. The droll family retainers fail in their attempts to haunt--but then the REAL ghosts come out. Wackiness ensues.

Not a very good movie--except for Peter O'Toole chewing up the scenery as the "aristocrat." And a young Liam Neeson as a ghost. And Jennifer Tilly showing a young Peter Gallagher why he is NOT destined for the priesthood!

In comparison to these artists, Mr Guttenberg just faded into the woodwork. (Or, in this case, the stony castle walls.)

According to a talk show interview I saw decades ago, he originally planned to be a dentist but got bit by the acting bug instead. Whenever I see him I always think he probably would've made a fine dentist.
