QUESTION: "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" |
|
You know, the Christmas song. There's a line in there that just doesn't make any sense to me:
"There'll be scary ghost stories, and tales of the glories, of Christmases long, long ago"
WTF!
Are Christmas ghost stories some tradition I've never heard of, or is this a really obtuse reference to Dickens' Christmas Carol?

1. To parents, the most wonderful time of the year is when they go back to school. |

2. That always kinda freaked me out. |

I imagine it probably is a reference to A Christmas Carol, but as a kid, I didn't interpret it that way. Our family never sat around telling scary ghost stories on Christmas. :wtf:
