I think many people strive to live life on a straight path: they go to school, find a job, pay their taxes, get married, attend their local church, and have their 2.2 children.
Sometimes, however, something out of the ordinary happens to you that counters continuing on that straight path. You then realize just how human you are, and how everything society has taught you about living on the straight and narrow are merely human constructs.
For me, I have developed very strong feelings for someone outside my marriage. Nothing has come of it. I am not going to chase this person or even tell him how I feel. And I love and make love to my husband, sometimes nightly. :P But the more I fight them, the more I realize how natural these feelings are and that I, as a human being, am susceptible to them.
So, I have decided that it just IS. It is just how I feel. And that is all. There is nothing I can do about it. There is nothing wrong with me - I'm just a human being! And there is no book, no talk show host, or no church that can tell me it's wrong to feel as I do. What would be terribly wrong would be to act on those feelings, because I would hurt a very good man.
And that is all! :hi:

1. Did this post offend a few of you? |
|
It really wasn't easy exposing this, but I had come to an epiphany today that I wanted to share. :hi:

3. Yeah the feelings are natural |
|
But you also have the ability to choose not to act on them. I am sure you are doing the correct thing. :hi:

4. They absolutely are natural. |
|
Crushes, attraction, love. I have love for more than one person. I get attracted to people. I get my little crushes. But I am very much in love with my SO and would never act on any other feelings, because I am happy with him and would never want to hurt him. :).
Feelings are never wrong!

5. This is the same thing that every boyfriend I have had has said when they hurt me . |
|
Boyfriend #1/ex-fiance - I am sorry I beat you up ,it just is. I had anger and I decided to act on it and break your arm instead of realizing what an asshole I have become.
Boyfriend #2 - I met my friend from childhood and we got drunk , had sex and well I want to be with her now. It just is.
Boyfriend #3 - You are a nice person , you were the greatest girlfriend I ever had but I don't want to be with you anymore. But I am back again after 9 months because I care about you a lot but I am too macho to be honest about my feelings for you - it just is.
Sometimes people just suck in my eyes.
Recent event : the other day a now former friend of mine told me that they don't see me as a friend anymore because I found a job on a different shift so in their stupidity they can't be friends with me despite the fact that it should not matter what shift I work , I am still in existence and I have a phone and I was always there for that person. Their excuse : it just is.
I am not bagging on you or anything Writer, I was just ranting because sometimes people really piss me the hell off. Ok I need drink.

9. Funny, I've been having similar conversations of my own recently. |
|
And I agree. Sometimes what is JUST IS. You can't deny it, you can't run away from it, you can only accept it - for what it is.
