While discussing writing with another DUer, who made mention of the fact though he had read a lot of my shorter pieces, my essays, he was interested in reading something longer. Now while I'm in the business of selling my novels, it is also a fact that I write a lot of short stories set in my extensive fictional universe that are NOT for sale to anyone at the moment. They are copyrighted, of course, but it is my intention to eventually put them together into an anthology tying several of my novels together.
At the moment I use them for contest giveaways and for promotional purposes. My wife, a reviewer, and the co-owner of one of the largest on-line book review sites, says that though my novels are good, it is in my short fiction that I really shine. Heck if I know. She's the expert. LOL
So I'd like to give my DU family the opportunity to read one of my short stories free of charge. Any DUer who goes to my website and e-mails me personally, will get a copy of my story, "Fear Itself," in html format.
With no obligation, obviously. If it wasn't for my wife, who acts as my business manager and keeps me in line, and the fact that my contracts forbid it, I'd probably give away FAR too many copies of my novels, simply because I enjoy sharing my writing with other people. I can't do that with my novels, but I CAN do it with my short stories.
Please...anyone who enjoys urban fantasy, or paranormals with vampires and the like, or just wants to get a better idea of what I write when I'm not doing essays here, please just hop over to my site
http://www.sajewilliams.com and hit the e-mail link to request a copy of "Fear Itself."
Consider it a token of appreciation for all of you, if nothing else.
