Lordy, with the turning of the year, my computer is almost 5 years old. |
|
I didn't think it would make it this long. Windows 98 platform withstanding.
We at the Ozymandius household are looking to purchase a new one. We've decided on a Mac. But this old Dell just keeps puttering along.

1. Hey, I just reformatted an old Dell for my Mom. |
|
Win 98SE, 233, Zip...Better than what she had and working beautifully.
The previous owner was throwing it out because it didn't work. Actually, the hard drive was just paralyzed by old gif files.
Say what you want about Dell, the stuff holds up.

2. My iMac will be four next month |

After the hard disk crashed two months ago, I upgraded it to OS X and added some more memory. It works great now.

3. mine is 4 plus and i ordered a new one this past week |
|
moving to a gig of ram, and 120 gig of hard drive and gonna' slave the current 90 gigs i have now.
and christ, its cheaper than the one i bought in '99.
remember microsoft is stopping support for win 98 soon. sadly i love the OS because considering the newer stuff, i feel like i'm using a nice slant 6 engine that has few problems and am trading up for a fuel injection beammer.
