Poll question: What is the best reply to a smear campaign? |
|
Edited on Mon Dec-18-06 04:45 PM by sfexpat2000
My soon to be X is smearing me all over San Francisco.
It's a thing of beauty, actually, he's doing such a good job.
But, I was wondering what you all think about a response because my mommy mind just keeps saying, "it isn't his fault, etc, etc."
A good friend pointed out to me today that if I don't respect myself, that's a big red flag. What do you think?
Edit: k->g

1. Depends on what he is doing |

If it's something that will affect your ability to seek employment etc.. keep track and go after him legally.
If he's just being an asshole, ignore him - the truth always comes out eventually.

2. It's both. And at first I thought, he'll calm down. This is what people do |
|
during a break up.
But last night, I got some really nasty email from a total stranger that has apparently bought his story, hook, line and sinker.
I don't know. This kind of ugly is just beyond what I understand.

3. Keep a log.. and save all those emails |
|
if it doesn't die down I'd see about getting a bit of legal assistance just to see if there is anything you can do to get him to back off.
why the heck a total stranger feels it's ok to butt in is always amazing to me. What business is it of THEIR'S?????
good luck.

Why ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH would you willingly get in the middle of someone ELSE'S divorce?
I hope I never hit that level of boredom.

Revenge is a specialty of mine. I would suggest sitting down and thinking about where he is weak.... then exploit that weakness.
