List gifts that have no monetary value, but are still great gifts. |

Things like, "a coupon for a long walk through a forest together on a sunny, 70-degree day."

Every Christmas my wife gives all our kids a short letter wherein she points out what she finds admirable about them. Those letters always bring tears to their eyes and are far outshine the other normal gifts we give them. It's the high point of the day for them.

Sending love letters is a very risky thing, especially for women, and especially if the romance isn't solid. Women should never send love letters to a man, because the guy will think you're obsessed with him.
Men should only send love letters to a woman if he's sure she's into him. But she's your wife, so obviously she will love it!

"You have lost a lot of weight" always makes me smile. Unfortunately, I haven't heard that one in a looooong time.

7. A Story Written For Them, A Picture Painted For Them |

a song written for them, a poem for them
anything done with them in mind that comes from your heart, is far more precious than monetary value in my opinion.
 :hi:

I had a friend who bought some generic wine glasses, and a roll of label-stickers, wrote something funny & personal about each person on the stickers, stuck them on the wine glasses, and gave them out at a friend- Christmas party.
So he didn't have much money...so? People seemed to appreciate the thought. It was fun. I thought it was clever.
(Edit: dammit I always mess up!)
