A good registry management program....
My computer is wacked out...

I don't wanna buy another one...

But tax season is coming and I can't be without one from the end of January to the end of April...

Any suggestions....

7. good to hear
Ace utilities is a good program.

When you get a chance you might want to run a defrag and a spyware/virus scan, delete anything it finds, then re-run ace utilities.

2. Back-up your computer and re-install Windows.
You don't need a new computer. You need a clean install of Windows.

5. Download the trial version of this
http://www.tune-up.com/download/

I've used it in the past and it did a decent job. The trial version lasts for 30 days.

8. Is there good tax software for Linux?
I tried a Linux, but it was way to much work to add anything. I never got the wireless LAN thing working. It's a good operating system for geniuses, I guess (not being one, how would I know?)

Regards.

10. I just reformatted my hard drive this week.
Everything is as good as new now. Back everything up and do it. It is not that hard. If you have XP, it does everything for you. Just make sure that the optical drive where you place the CD is set to 1 in the boot sequence in your BIOS.

With that being said, I use Registry Mechanic to keep my registry in check. It can be found here: http://www.pctools.com/
