1. I don't know, but if telekinesis is real, I want to take lessons. |
|
There are so many things I'd like to do if I had that skill...

3. That's a wide range of phenomona to lump together |
|
I think some things are real. I think the majority of shitwipes who say that they can do these thigns are cahrlatans and fakes, though. Like astrologers, and other criminals.
But I don't doubt that some things like precognition, ESP, perhaps maybe even clairvoyance or clairaudience, are real - rare, and most people espousing that they have those talents are liars and charlatans - but real. And some day we might be able to tap into those parts of the brain that are more aware of those sensory perceptions.

5. Considering that we only use |
|
about 15% percent of our brains, I think there is something to be said about the potential of the other 85% that we don't use. Studies on the brain are largely in their infancy, and until we can access and understand that more, we cannot and should not ever assume that such "psi" powers are not real.
It's been shown (albeit with small trial groups) that telepathy, especially, is real, but not the stuff of SF: twin studies show a remarkable link between twins, and it is considered more a biological link than a sixth sense. Clairvoyance has also had some success in the area of remote viewing, but it's not something that can be "switched on or off" as it's been touted. Many who have demonstrated such an ability don't go around selling their skills, however--those who do try to profit from it are usually charlatans with very little real powers.
We can't claim to understand a whole lot more about the brain, until we have examined the uncharted neurons, axons, and other gray matter that until now remains a mystery.
Many scientists through the millennia have thought there wasn't a whole lot of science to discover and explore. Over and over, we have proven that assumption incorrect. Until we can say we have done it all, some things are just going to remain wonders.

8. Don't Know About Telekinesis |
|
but I do think that it is possible to have awareness of things that haven't happened yet.
Don't know what that is.
Maybe it is really just our unconscious mind and it's ability to predict things based on circumstances or past experiences. Or maybe it is something else?

11. Well, they're real words, if nothing else, so I'd have to say real (but I won't vote) n/t |
