1. No, but I have woken up next to the Greatest American Hero.
I used to get them mixed up when I was a kid. You can see why.

okay, there was this magical time called the 1970s which produced the playlists for most soft rock stations today.

anyway, songs and stuff were really cheesy and leo sayer was godlike among the cheese.

seminal works: "when i need you" "i think i can dance" "you make me feel like dancing"

I was just a wee lad in these magical 70s you speak of.

edit: and I hate soft rock, hard rock, alternative rock, etc...

8. One of those cheesy soft rock dudes of the 70s is now a US Representative in NY-19

The dude in the middle - that's John Hall of Orleans

He's a democrat, unseated an incumbant and pretty progressive to boot

14. He did sing on the Colbert Report
Here's an interesting piece of trivia - every representative who showed up on the Colbert Report got re-elected except one. The guy in NY-19 refused to go so they had John Hall on instead (he sung the National Anthem with Colbert). Hall ended up winning the seat

11. i made him feel like dancing
we danced the night away, with horrendous results. a muffled word or two, some averted glances, a "no i'm not really hungry" and out the door he went. sigh.
