Not the greatest song ever, but odd and catchy.. and very, very "80s".
Oh, and "Universal Radio" off of "Nina Hagen in Extasy". No collection is truly complete without it.

17. That's pretty amazing. I'm sure that most people who... |
|
...have only heard one of those two would be in exactly the opposite position.
I myself never heard of "Lawnchairs", or that band, until last year. (Thank you, satellite radio! Living in the future ROCKS!!!!)
Whereas Nina, on the other hand, has been revered worldwide for decades as "the Mother of Punk". She brought the footage from a Brazillian soccer-stadium concert performance of 'Universal Radio' when I saw her on Letterman 25 years ago or so...

I have been ripped off so many times with downloading music, whether through bearshare or iTunes or whatever, that I am so over downloading music over the internets! I find it's all pretty much a rip off. Or maybe I am the only one being ripped off.

Like I said, I've never seen that option on iTunes. I've been downloading there for a couple of years with no problem. Sorry you had some.
The reason I asked was I read about an iTunes scam. It was for a different site that used the iTunes logo. It was more like Limewire or Napster though, you didn't actually get the songs through iTunes, you get them from other people.

|
I had the choice of .99 per download or $50 for unlimited and that is what I chose. When I tried to use it, apparently it wasn't an option and yes I tried to contact Apple but I could not. I don't think it was an iTunes scam but what else am I too believe? Anyway, good luck with your iTunes! :-)

Thanks for wishing me luck with mine. I'm to the point of not downloading much anymore. Call me old fashioned but I like buying cds & having them in my hands. I would say 80% of my iPod is stuff I got from cds I already own.

54. 80's music rules the world! |
|
These are in no particular order: 1) Tainted Love by Soft Cell - Recently Depeche Mode, Marilyn Manson, Rihanna(partially), and the Pussycat Dolls have copied this. 2) Baby Love by Regina - This is hard to find even on the net. She sounds exactly like Madonna. This song came out about the same time "Like A Virgin" was all the rage. 3) I Still Believe by Brenda K Starr. Mariah Carey has copied this but the original is better. 4) Tell Me Why by Expose. 5) Out of Touch by Hall & Oates. 6) Dead Man's Party by Oingo Boingo. This is the same group that had the hit Weird Science. - This song was played during the movie Back to School with Rodney Dangerfield. 7) How Will I Know by Whitney Houston. Can't stand most of her music; most of her early stuff sounded the same. 8) We Close Our Eyes by Go West. They later came out with King of Wishful Thinking played during Pretty Woman. 9) Catch Me I'm Falling by Pretty Poison. 10) Let's Go by Wang Chung.
Most of these songs have been forgotten about over the years. Tainted Love is the exception to that.
