What amazing uses have you found for your food processor? |
|
I got a 9-cup KitchenAid one for Christmas and was playing with it today.
I make a huge salad bowl to last a couple of days and was amazed how quickly it went today. I also chopped up batches of walnuts, pecans and almonds (to throw in my oatmeal or salad.)
So, do you have any hints, ideas or recipes that will help me get the most out of my new toy?

Sounds like it would be either dangerous or painful.

4. I want that blender that pulverizes marbles into dust |

I could really use it for creating material for inlaying into my woodturning.

5. I use mine for making crusts |
|
Processing oreo cookies, graham crackers or nuts for crusts is my favorite thing to use it for.
And peanut butter! If you ever make it fresh, you won't ever buy that jarred stuff again. :9

9. I buy the organic kind at Costco |
|
It's probably less expensive than buying all those nuts.
And, unfortunately, I have to restrict my sugar so I don't do too many sweets. I found I ate too much of what I baked for family and friends ended up in my own belly. I have no willpower.

10. I don't have a Costco |
|
so I wouldn't know about that. I can buy the nuts cheaper here than I can the organic stuff at the health food store.
I should restrict my sweets, I have no will power either.

7. I have one, but seldom use it |
|
It's a Cuisinart we got for a wedding present almost 25 years ago, and still up to date. About all I use it for is to make bread crumbs, it's so much easier to just grab a knife and cutting board.
