O'Reilly, Colbert to trade appearances
O'Reilly, Colbert to trade appearances

NEW YORK - It may feel like looking into the mirror for Bill O'Reilly and
Stephen Colbert next week. The Fox News Channel host and Colbert, who has essentially based his comic character every evening on Comedy Central on him, will trade appearances on each other's programs Jan. 18.

<snip>

"I look forward to the evening," Colbert said. "It is an honor to speak face-to-face with a broadcasting legend, and I feel the same way about Mr. O'Reilly."

2. Can you name one person Colbert hasn't owned?
Yes they do the same schtick, but O'Reilly has the added handicap of trying to make it sound non-retarded.

10. Exactly.
Colbert has at least 50 IQ points over O'Really, when O's sober. Drunk (O's apparent normal state) the IQ spread extends into triple digits.

14. I think it's going to be great. Colbert is just going to slobber all over him.
How will O'Reilly be able to start conflict with the lovefest Colbert is going to give him?

He should have streamers and flashing lights and a band and..... :P

3. So will Stephen Colbert be in character or not?
I guess he'll probably end up insulting O'Lielly either way.

9. I hope he'll stay in
character. There wouldn't be much point otherwise.

4. I first read that as Colbert and O'Reilly trading hosting positions for a night
and laughed how dumb it was of O'Reilly to agree with that

5. Are Loofa-lafel's ratings SO low
that appearing on broadcast TV shows as a charming moderate doesn't work anymore?

16. I worry this will give the Falafel King credibility
Colbert as a mocking comic has more ethics and integrity than O'Reilly. In his deliberate attempt to appear as an illogical right-wing pundit, he actually still makes more sense than O'Reilly does on his best days.
