So I woke up this morning, and found that it was warm
Last night my boiler appeared to be kaput:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=105&topic_id=6046058&mesg_id=6046058

This morning it was making my flat warm. I don't know what was wrong, nor why it is working now. However I will gladly take every bit of good fortune that comes my way.

I will still arrange to get someone round to service it ASAP.

8. It's not like you will even see this but
(perhaps someone will be kind enough to relay the message) Heat is good. I'm glad it seems to be working for the moment. I lost power twice yesterday (the day before yesterday) and the house got cooled right quick. And our propane fireplace got broken because I don't have a handy man available.:eyes: Luckily it did come back on eventually. I'm freezing atm but I shall soon (hopefully) be finally sleeping...unless the cats decide to attack me feet again.

Have a great day.

20. Just one
It's ok the heat is back on. Though for some reason, I'm still cold. Maybe I just need a sweater...and a nap. I shouldn't stay up that late (early) anymore, it's catching up to me.

Thanks

11. Hi MrsG

Yes, it's gas. I certainly don't want to be asphyxiated. But I am not too worried about that. It's all electronically controlled and seems to have a load of failsafes.

:loveya: too.

12. I'm missing you tons.
Work is too busy.

I really can't stand one of my "coworkers" (yes, even working at home, I have to deal with politics) and he's been making my life/job miserable.

One time we had a spider weave it's web over the tube that supplied the gas to the pilot light on our furnace. It cost us $125 to have a "technician" come out and get rid of it. Sigh...

13. I miss you too
:*

I haven't had my boiler serviced in four years. I was kinda disgusted when I first had it serviced, a year after it was installed. The engineer basically took it apart, vacuumed it and put it back together again. The whole process took about 15 minutes and he charged me £100.

I'm sorry about your coworker. Do you want me to come and kick his arse? :grr:

14. Yes please...
He's a snotty creep who likes to imagine himself my boss.

When you call his office and he's out his message player plays,"Sorry for the unconvenience..." and I want to scream,'It's inconvenience IDIOT!" In emails, I always make sure to use really big words so that he needs a dictionary to read them.

24. My dear billy!
Well, for whatever reason, I'm glad your furnace is working!

Being cold in the winter is no fun........

Hope whoever looks at it doesn't charge you an arm and a leg to make sure all is OK!

How's your lovely new car?
